Research Assistants Team

Trevor Linnell

Trevor joined the lab in fall 2024, with a few other RA’s, and will be graduating in spring of 2025. With hopes to pursue a doctorate to go into therapeutic work, for now he just wants to assist the lab in whatever ways he can, research interests: sleep, and memories. Hobbies: hitting the gym, films, a random assortment of nerdy things.

Emi Eckhaus

Emi is a senior at the University of Oregon, majoring in Neuroscience and Human Physiology. Her research interests include electrophysiology and neurodegenerative diseases. In the future, she hopes to become a neurosurgical physician assistant. Outside of classes and the lab, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and traveling.

Ella Hiebert

Ella joined BEL in her freshman year at the University of Oregon. She is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Criminology. Her research interests are focused on the nervous system and the pain response, but she enjoys learning about the brain as a whole. She plans to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and work in pediatric pain psychology. In her free time she enjoys curling up with her dog, photography, coaching gymnastics, and spending time with her friends and family.

Isaac Patchen

Isaac is a Senior at the University of Oregon and he’s majoring in Psychology. He joined BEL because of his interest in the neurological basis of sleep and its effect on memory. His other interests include reading, writing, and playing basketball.

Camille Guers-Renz

Camille is an undergraduate at the University of Oregon, and is majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Romance Languages. Her interests include cognitive neuroscience, linguistics, holistic medicine, and chemistry. She plans to research how targeting to reduce inflammation in the brain can prevent disease. In her free time, she can be found hiking, skiing, oil painting, boxing, spending time with friends, and reading.

The BEL Research Assistants Team is always looking to connect with passionate students in neuroscience, psychology, and related fields. While we may not have an opening right now, opportunities can arise at any time, and we’d love to hear from you.
